WINDSURFER ONE DESIGN RACING
If you love racing, look no further!
The Windsurfer LT is a strictly One Design Class where everyone races on identical equipment, no more to spend.
We race in weight and gender divisions, so racing is equally matched and hotly contested.
There is racing at local clubs, as well as state, national and International competitions.
There's a huge event going on somewhere in the World all year round.

Course Racing
Short sharp races around a triangular or upwind course. 20-25 minute races.
Learn race skills like starting, tactics and mark rounding. Who knows, you might have what it takes to become the next World Champion!

Marathon
Test your endurance and skills over a 20 mile course. This is a really fun discipline, especially when the breeze is up. Lots of long, fast legs.

Slalom
Set over a super short course with five marks to navigate. A short upwind leg followed by gybe after gybe. 6-8 person knock rounds. Super tight racing that is a great test of your board handling skills.

Different divisions for weight, age and gender
Weight Divisions
At race events you'll be competing against people of similar weight. Fleets are split into 5 divisions. Light, medium, heavy, super heavy and women. That means you won't be disadvantaged if you are light in strong winds or heavy in light winds. This makes racing fair, even and fun!
Age Divisions
There are also categories for different age groups. We have lots of people in their 60's and 70's still competing. As well as people still waiting to reach their teens. Its a super inclusive sailing environment that makes EVERYONE welcome!
